During an update about Canada’s response to the Afghanistan crisis on Wednesday, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Minister Marco Mendicino confirmed the country is ramping up its evacuations out of Kabul, with an Aug. 24 flight carrying 535 evacuees. Mendicino added that while Canada is processing refugees quickly, it is doing so in a safe manner, regarding national security.
