The United States will donate one million Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine doses to Vietnam, Vice-President Kamala Harris told Vietnamese Prime Minister Phạm Minh Chính in Hanoi on Wednesday. Vietnam has fully inoculated just two per cent of its population, as it opted for a containment policy and did not rush to procure vaccines, which it deemed financially risky due to a severe global shortage.
