Liberal Leader Justin Trudeau said on Wednesday that if re-elected, his government would invest $500 million ahead of the next fire season and will support the training of 1,000 new community-based firefighters. Trudeau also said he would roll out an expanded home retrofit program to help make homes more resilient to climate change.
