Petition to hold a referendum on Surrey policing kicks off

Two women who lost their innocent loved ones to gang violence in Surrey are leading the charge. Eileen Mohan and Darlene Bennett wee on hand for the first signature on a petition. It’s hoped to pressure the B.C. government into calling a referendum for the people of Surrey to decide on whether to keep the RCMP or to form a municipal police force. Rumina Daya reports.
