B.C. Health Minister Adrian Dix announced Thursday that all staff in assisted living facilities and long-term care homes in the province must be vaccinated against COVID-19 by Oct. 12. He acknowledges the exceptional work being done in care facilities around the province but new orders are necessary to protect staff and residents from variants of concern.
