Minister of Crown-Indigenous Relations Carolyn Bennett announced on Tuesday an additional $83 million in funding to go towards researching and locating burial sites and unmarked graves at the sites of former Indian Residential Schools. She also announced the government is working on establishing a national advisory committee to provide expert advice to communities and government on locating unmarked burial sites.
