A rare coalition of Democrats and Republicans came together on Tuesday to pass a $1 trillion bipartisan infrastructure plan, which is considered a cornerstone of U.S. President Joe Biden’s agenda. Chuck Schumer called the bill an “overdue step to revitalize America’s infrastructure,” while Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, who voted in favour of the bill, took aim at the Democrat’s next legislative spending priority, calling it “toxic.”
