Chief Public Health Officer of Canada Dr. Theresa Tam said on Thursday that they are still looking at the data for COVID-19 booster shots and that their discussions on the booster shots is still “evolving.” She said this when asked if Canada would follow the moratorium request by the World Health Organization (WHO) on booster shots until at least the end of September. WHO made the request on Wednesday to allow lower income countries, where much of the population still needed their first dose, better access to the global vaccine supply.
