Vacationers’ fun smoked out in the Okanagan

The August long weekend should be the peak of tourism season in the Okanagan, but heading into B.C. Day the region is facing a variety of challenges. Intense smoke from wildfires has decreased air quality to the point it’s considered a very high health risk and last week a Covid-19 outbreak was declared the Central Okanagan. Megan Turcato has more on what that means for tourism businesses and their visiting customers.
