Principal Deputy White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre reiterated on Friday the importance for people to get vaccinated against COVID-19 and the administration’s efforts to facilitate that in light of recent Centers for Disease Control (CDC) guidance. This guidance urges vaccinated people to wear masks as the highly-infectious COVID-19 Delta variant appears to be as contagious as chickenpox.
