“Having two doses of vaccine has never been more important,” Alberta chief medical officer of health Dr. Deena Hinshaw said in her Wednesday update, explaining the Delta COVID-19 variant spreads more easily so the second dose is critical for protection. She said 64 per cent of Albertans are fully immunized and 75 per cent have had at least one dose.
