Canadian gymnast Ellie Black commented Wednesday on fellow athlete Simone Biles’ decision to withdraw from the final individual all-around competition at the Tokyo Olympics, who said she was doing so for her mental health. Black praised Biles, saying it was “really amazing” to, on the world’s stage, recognize what she needs and that her personal health is priority, adding that “we are just human over an athlete and we need to prioritize that.”
