The director of the Tokyo Olympics opening ceremony, Kentaro Kobayashi, has been fired ahead of Friday’s much-anticipated event. The former comedian was dismissed over a 1998 sketch where he joked about the Holocaust. As Crystal Goomansingh reports, he isn’t the only Tokyo staffer to be sacked over inappropriate behavior.
