According to Six Nations Chief Mark Hill on Wednesday, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau didn’t visit the site of the former Mohawk Institute residential school during his Tuesday visit to Hamilton, Ont., which “disheartened” the community. In addition, Hill said the federal nor provincial governments still haven’t provided funding for residential school survivor initiatives to their community, and Trudeau’s office hasn’t responded to a letter from the community dated May 31 according to Hill.
