Trudeau says he’d support criminal investigation into residential schools, though not up to PM to call for one

In an interview with Global News on Monday, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said it’s not up to a prime minister to call for a criminal investigation into Indigenous residential schools and the horrific mass burial sites recently discovered. He said Indigenous communities should be consulted on how to proceed with the situation moving ahead.
