A section of Rubidge and Reid Street is blocked after a truck struck a pole on Rubidge Street earlier Monday afternoon.
Emergency crews were called to the area of Rubidge Street just south of McDonnel Street around 1 p.m.
Police on scene said a large truck struck the pole and kept going. A wire was also snapped in the process affecting one home on the opposite side of the street.
Hydro One crews are working to repair the pole and wires.
It is unclear how long the road will be closed for.
