On Monday Peterborough city councillors rejected most of the recommendations of a months-long transit study.
Though some recommendations were adopted, some of the bigger changes — like overhauling the way buses travel through the city — were rejected due to the $3.2 million price tag.
But some councillors, including Mayor Diane Therrien, were disappointed by the vote, arguing that the city needs to change improve transit to better serve its users.
She spoke with Global News Morning Peterborough anchor Noor Ibrahim about the issue, and what’s next.
