West Kelowna approves homeless shelter next to gravel pit

On Tuesday night the City of West Kelowna reluctantly amended a zoning bylaw to allow BC Housing to build a temporary homeless shelter next to the gravel pit at the end of Bartley Road. Despite the fact that some nearby residents are extremely upset by the decision and can’t understand why the City, was unable to find a more appropriate site.
