The Trudeau Liberals are continuing to ramp up election speculation by announcing plans for a “high-frequency” rail in the Toronto-Quebec City corridor. The Cowessess First Nation is taking control of its child-welfare system after signing a historic agreement with the Saskatchewan and federal governments. B.C. residents are in survival mode as more wildfires have been sparked, this time by lightning. And a 12-year-old Indigenous boy is wrapping up his six-day walk to honour residential school victims and survivors.
