Cowessess First Nation taking over child welfare system after signing historic agreement

The Cowessess First Nation is taking over its child welfare system after it signed a historic agreement with the Saskatchewan and federal governments. As Heather Yourex-West reports, advocates say the current system is a proxy for the former residential schools with thousands of Indigenous children in care and the nation is hoping this agreement will be the first step towards changing that.
