Surfside building collapse: Demolition of remaining portion of building went ‘exactly as planned,’ mayor says

Miami-Dade Mayor Daniella Levine Cava said Monday that the remaining portion of a collapsed condo building in Surfside, Fla., “was executed exactly as planned.” She said crews are now searching the area “closest to the building” that had not been previously accessible.
