The Welamukotuk First Nation kicked off the 2021 powwow season for New Brunswick First Nations on Saturday. As Silas Brown reports, it’s the first public powwow since the summer of 2019 and comes as Indigenous communities have been in mourning, with the continued discovery of unmarked graves on First Nations across the country.
