Toronto police officer killed after being struck by vehicle during incident near City Hall garage

Toronto Police Chief James Ramer announced on Friday that Const. Jeffrey Northrup was killed after he and his partner responded to a priority call in the underground parking lot of City Hall near Queen and Bay Streets, just after midnight. Ramer said Northrup was struck by a vehicle during the incident and that they “believe this was an intentional and deliberate act.”
