U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi announced on Thursday that she had named two Democrats, who previously prosecuted impeachment proceedings against Donald Trump, to a congressional select committee investigating the Capitol Hill violence of Jan. 6— Rep. Adam Schiff and Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD). Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) was also appointed to the committee, while Homeland Security Committee Chair Bennie Thompson (D-MS), will chair the panel.
