Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava and Fire Rescue Chief Alan Cominsky provided an update Thursday on the Surfside, Fla., condo collapse search and rescue mission, after it was suspended in the early morning hours due to concerns about the stability of the remaining structure. “We’re doing everything we can to ensure that the safety of our first responders is paramount, and to continue our search and rescue operation as soon as it is safe to do so,” Levine Cava stated.
