Several Black and Indigenous families whose loved ones have been harmed and killed by police came together in Ottawa Saturday to demand accountability. Organizer Syrus Marcus Ware, also a co-founder of Black Lives Matter Canada, said they had invited the families to give them the opportunity to speak out about their experiences.
