During the pandemic animal shelters across the Peterborough region experienced a surge of pet adoptions-in some cases, there were wait lists of potential adoptees hoping to match with a dog or cat in need of a forever home. But now that the region is opening up, there’s concern that not every adopted pet will stay in the forever homes forever. Peterborough Humane Society executive director Shawn Morey spoke with the Morning Show about the issue, and where pet owners can find the support they need when the return to work.
