O’Toole says Conservatives will not participate in committee investigation of Winnipeg lab firings

During question period on Thursday, Conservative Party Leader Erin O’Toole said Conservative members are withdrawing from the National Security and Intelligence Committee, “effective immediately,” arguing the body is “being used as a political tool.” He said the government is using the committee to hide the reason why two scientists, with ties to China, were fired from a top-level security lab in Winnipeg.
