Vernon’s public toilets were meant to help clean up the city’s downtown – – and of course……give people dignity when nature calls. However, repeated vandalism, including a recent fire had some councillors calling for the restrooms to be closed. The issue has sparked a debate about tax dollars and how much it’s reasonable to spend to keep the public amenity.
