Richmond RCMP warn of toxic substance in popular park

Some areas of South Arm Park were cordoned off last week after a number of dead and sick squirrels were found. Testing discovered that 1-octan-ethiol, a compound used in the production of other chemicals, was scattered around several trees in the park. The affected areas were decontaminated and secured.
