An Ipsos poll done exclusively for Global News found a strong majority of Canadians, a total of 77 per cent surveyed, would support a national day of remembrance for residential school victims, including missing Indigenous children. The poll also showed the discovery of remains of 215 children at a former B.C. residential school changed their view of the institutions.
