Splatsin band members gather at scared fire to remember residential school students

As Canada continues to process the discovery of the remains of more than 215 residential school students in Kamloops, survivors of the schools were among those who gathered near the Splatsin Community Center this weekend. Since Saturday a sacred fire has been burning there acting as both a memorial and a gathering site.
