Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced on Friday that on top of the regular amount of funding, the Canada Child Benefit would be increased for children under six years old, amid the pandemic. The prime minister said this means an additional $1,200 is available per child under six years old. The first of these boosted payments will be going out today, Trudeau said.
