Consumers being warned that they will likely soon be paying a lot more for upholstered furniture

It is an effort to protect Canadian manufacturers but huge new tarrifs on some furniture imported from overseas are expected to have an enormous impact on both retailers and consumers. Okanagan furniture store owners say they can’t absorb the duties and are cancelling their orders. That will likely lead to furniture shortages and much higher prices.
