One person has been charged with careless driving after colliding with a hydro pole in Alnwick/Haldimand Township on Wednesday night.
Around 7 p.m., a pickup truck was travelling eastbound on Shelter Valley Road when it went into the ditch, struck a culvert and went airborne before striking a hydro pole.
Approximately 314 customers were affected by a power outage as a result of the damaged hydro pole.
The driver was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
