Civil rights activist Rev. Al Sharpton and New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio kneeled for nine minutes and 29 seconds in George Floyd’s name on the anniversary of his death on Tuesday. Sharpton called for the George Floyd Justice in Policing Act to be passed during his speech, saying that the killing of George Floyd “will change policing in the U.S.”
