One person was taken to hospital after suffering from smoke inhalation and minor burns following a fire at a home on Balls Lane in Cobourg Monday. Crews responded to the scene at about 12:20 a.m. Damage is estimated at $100,000. It’s not known yet what started the blaze. The Cobourg Police service is helping the Ontario Fire Marshal’s office with the investigation.
The Office of the Ontario Fire Marshal as been contacted and will be attending the scene for further investigation. The Cobourg Police Service Criminal Investigation Branch will assist the OFM as required
