China’s Mars rover takes 1st drive on red planet’s surface

China’s first Mars rover drove down from its landing platform to the red planet’s surface on Saturday. China landed the spacecraft carrying the rover on Mars last Saturday, a technically challenging feat more difficult than a moon landing.
