The U.S. House of Representatives narrowly passed a $1.9 billion spending bill to increase security at the Capitol in response to the Jan. 6 riot. The vote, however was almost halted by progressives, passing only 213-212 and has an uphill battle in the Senate as top Republicans have already criticized the bill
