A New York state civil investigation into former U.S. President Donald Trump’s business dealings has expanded to include a criminal investigation, the state’s attorney general announced Tuesday, with Letitia James saying they were conducting the probe alongside the Manhattan district attorney Cy Vance. It comes as U.S. lawmakers in the House of Representatives backed a study into the Jan. 6 Capitol riot.
