More than 170 Palestinians and at least six Israeli police officers were injured Friday when clashes broke out between worshippers and authorities at the Al-Aqsa mosque compound, a major holy site sacred to Muslims and Jews, in what’s being called an escalation of weeks of violence in Jerusalem.
