Bill C-3 will ‘help restore trust’ in criminal justice system for sexual assault survivors, Trudeau says

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said on Friday that Bill C-3, which received royal assent on Thursday, would “help restore trust in our criminal justice system for survivors of sexual assault, and for all Canadians.” The bill would require prospective judges to undergo training in sexual assault law and commit to continued education in how systemic racism and discrimination factors into assault cases.
