Provincial health officer Dr. Bonnie Henry confirms B.C.’s first case of a rare blood clot disorder in a person who received the AstraZeneca vaccine, a woman in her 40s. Dr. Bonnie Henry confirms the AstraZeneca vaccine is safe and that British Columbians need to “take a deep breath” because the occurrence is rare and doctors know what to do. Henry also says anyone experiencing symptoms should call 811 or their health care provider.
