The PNE is putting out an urgent plea today for $8-million in provincial funding to help stay alive. Due to the pandemic, the annual fair could be $15-million in debt by the end of the year, and if it doesn’t get an immediate bailout, it could be forced to close forever. Here is part of a news conference held on Friday by Vancouver Mayor Kennedy Stewart this afternoon.
