Scarborough native, Randell Adjei, has been appointed Ontario’s first poet laureate. The spoken word artist was confirmed unanimously by MPPs through a motion passed at Queen’s Park on Wednesday. Melanie Zettler met up with Adjei to discuss his mission to raise the profile of other poets across the province.
