Eric Terrill, director of the Marine Physical Laboratory at Scripps Institution of Oceonography in California, touted the technology used in an expedition to map thousands of acres in the Pacific Ocean which led to more than 25,000 targets identified with high confidence as barrels found at a toxic dump site on the ocean floor.
