On ‘The West Block’ Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland tells Mercedes Stephenson she never knew of the allegations of sexual misconduct against former Chief of the Defence Staff General Jonathan Vance. When asked if the government will apologize to women for not taking more action at the time, Freeland says, “…no woman serving Canada should be sexually harassed while doing that. And I’m happy right now today to apologize to any woman who was sexually harassed while serving her country.”
