Just hours after an expert panel recommended the move, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Food and Drug Administration are lifting the pause on the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine, which had been placed in limbo 10 days ago following reports of a rare blood clotting disorder. Both agencies said the shot was safe and effective for most people but would be adding a warning to fact sheets so people are aware of the very rare adverse effect.
