West Kelowna Fire Department trains for swift water rescues near Cherryville

Spring freshet is just getting started and rivers across B.C. will soon become swollen with high water.
For the general public, it’s a dangerous time of year to make even the tiniest mistake when wandering anywhere near a raging river. For the West Kelowna Fire Department though , it’s the perfect time for some swiftwater training.
