Canada’s Minister of Transport Omar Alghabra announced on Thursday that the country is closing its borders to air travellers coming to Canada on direct flights on India and Pakistan for 30 days. This comes as COVID-19 cases in those countries are spiking and as variants of concern are spreading amid a third wave of the pandemic.
